Interchange on affirmative sentence into to negative.
एक affirmative sentence को negative sentence में interchange करने के लिए निम्न नियमों का use किया जाता है-
Rule nom. 1- यदि किसी sentence में subject से तुरंत पहले only या subject के तुरंत बाद Alone दिया गया हो तो negetive बनाने के लिए इन्हें हटाकर subject के पहले none but या nothing but का use किया जाता है।
नोट – none but का use सजीवों के लिए। Nothing but का use non living के लिए किया जाता है। जैसे-
• Only she was present in the class.(neg)
-None but she was prasent in the class.
• Some books alone were in the shop.(neg) Nothing but some books were in the shop.
• Rule no.-2 यदि किसी sentence की starting में As soon as लिखा हो तथा वाक्य के मध्य में( ,) comma लगा हो तो sentence को negative बनाने के लिए as soon as के स्थान पर No sooner लिखकर sent. को नेगेटिव बनाया जाता है तथा , के स्थान पर than का use किया जाता है। जैसे-
*As soon as it stopped raining ,the boys went to play. (Neg)
No sooner did it stop raining than the boys went to play.
Rule no.-03- यदि किसी sentence में adjective की comprative degree दी हो तो उसे possitive degree में change करके Negative बनाया जाता है।
Note -negative sen. बनाने के लिए comprative degree को so………..as के बीच में लिखा जाता है।
Ex.- He is taller than I.(neg.)
I am not so tall as he.
I am wiser than Mohan.(neg)
Mohan is not so wise as I.
Rule nom-04- यदि किसी sentence में adjective की possitive degree से पहले adverb Too दिया हो तथा उसके बाद infinitive to दिया हो तो उसे remove too करके negative बनाया जाता है।

Ex- He was too fat to run fast.(Neg)
He was so fast that he could not run fast.
The tea is too hot to drink.(neg)
The tea is so hot that one can not drink.
